Gite ANDOURRA is an authentic, spacious, and welcoming stone mountain house, perfect for a nature getaway in the heart of the Ariège Pyrenees. Fully renovated with natural materials like stone, wood, and terracotta, this independent south-facing gite welcomes you at 900 meters altitude, in a charming typical Biros hamlet within the Regional Natural Park of the Ariège Pyrenees. Surrounded by forest and mountains, the gite offers a peaceful, preserved setting. The two-level garden, without overlooking neighbors, opens onto a meadow leading down to a stream, letting you immerse yourselves in nature while enjoying the calm and authenticity of a mountain village. The accommodation includes: - 1st floor: equipped kitchen, spacious living/dining room with fireplace insert, bathroom, and WC - 2nd floor: two large air-conditioned attic bedrooms and a second WC The natural stone construction keeps the living areas pleasantly cool in summer. Outside, the private pergola invites you to relax with garden furniture, barbecue, and loungers in an exceptional setting perfect for rest and convivial moments. In winter, the fireplace creates a cozy atmosphere after a day outdoors. Nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts will enjoy hiking for all levels, the GR10, Mont Valier Reserve, Étang d'Araing, mountain biking, paragliding, river or lake fishing, and local traditions such as transhumance or the "Autrefois le Couserans" festival. Included: water, electricity, some firewood in winter, travel cot (no mattress), and high chair for babies. For an extra charge: bed and bath linen rental, end-of-stay cleaning, and additional firewood are available. Internet access at the village library. No car traffic in front of the house; communal parking nearby.
